06/25/2026 – What Are You Doing with the Good Things in Your Life?
Genesis 16: 5 Then Sarai said to Abram, “My wrong be upon you! I gave my maid into your embrace; and when she saw that she had conceived, I became despised in her eyes. The Lord judge between you and me.” 6 So Abram said to Sarai, “Indeed your maid is in your hand; do to her as you please.” And when Sarai dealt harshly with her, she fled from her presence.
Reflection:
What are you to do with the good things God has given you in this life? God’s purpose with the good things He has created is to perfect them. His purpose is to perfect you! To perfect His church! To perfect His creation!
Abraham and Sarah were in trouble. Their marriage was in trouble. Every marriage faces risks. The best families are at the greatest risk! They were at risk of throwing away the promise of God. Evil had found its way into their marriage. The worst part is that they did it to themselves!
The devil intends to destroy every good thing. Good has a problem. Everything that is good will be attacked by the forces of evil. If anything is good, it is at risk. The fact that anything is good immediately brings the risk of destruction. If anything is valuable, thieves will want to steal it. If anything is beautiful, the sinful desires of our flesh will covet it.
Evil has no regard or respect for who you are. It even got into heaven and tried to usurp the throne of God. One third of the angels were cast down. It got into Paradise to corrupt the good that God had created. Only Christ can perfect the good He has given us. He is our only hope.
