06/17/2026 – God Will Destroy the Evil Things
Scripture: Joshua 7: 1 But the children of Israel committed a trespass regarding the accursed things, for Achan the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed things; so the anger of the Lord burned against the children of Israel.
Reflection: True victory requires the destruction of evil. The accursed things are the things determined for destruction. There are things in this world God has determined to destroy. There are things in our lives God has determined to destroy. They must be destroyed so that you can be preserved!
Everything that is sinful is destined for destruction. Every fortune that was achieved with injustice. Every idol will be destroyed. Every government, every institution of unrighteousness. The wicked will be destroyed. But the righteous will remain forever!
Joshua had led the people to one of the greatest victories in the battle of Jericho. They followed instructions and the Lord conquered Jericho for them. The walls came tumbling down. But the actions of one man affected the entire people. We must never lose respect for God and His holiness. We must remove from our lives and our homes everything that God has destined for destruction.
