06/10/2026 – Defining Your Victory

Eddy De La Hoz   -

Scripture: Revelation 3: 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. 22 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

Reflection: How do you define victory? Your victory? We know the dictionary definition; but what about your personal life? What you consider victory may be defeat or settling for less than the prize.

One of the greatest difficulties when entering any conflict is defining victory. How do you know when you won? That is not as easy as it sounds. There must be specific goals that ensure complete and irreversible accomplishment of a purpose and the complete disempowerment of the enemy. In God’s definition of victory conquerors do not lose anything. Instead, they recover everything that may have been stolen or lost.

Let’s define victory in Christ. He defines victory in terms of conquest and overcoming. Both are contained in one Greek word. You may be familiar with this word because the world has very successfully used it to promote fancy shoes: Nike. There is something you must conquer. The most amazing promises ever made are in the Bible and they belong to you, but they will not be handed to you on a silver platter by the enemy. You must fight giants to conquer them!
