03/17/2026 – Physical Impediments Do Not Stop God

Eddy De La Hoz   -

Scripture: Exodus 4: 10 Then Moses said to the Lord, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.” 11 So the Lord said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the Lord

Reflection: Some of our greatest blessings come through impediments. There are two people mentioned in the Bible with a speech impediment. God was greatly glorified in both men. One of them was Moses.

Moses believed that his impediment disqualified him for service to God. The Lord revealed a wonderful truth: He made everyone perfect for His purpose. He made the seeing and the blind. He did not make any mistakes. God made you perfectly also. He has done all things well!

We all have impediments and defects. When you first went to school, children quickly studied you to identify a prominent defect. They probably assigned you a nickname to remind you constantly of it. Sadly, we may have also participated in calling people names. Let us make sure we never again participate in demeaning people because of their defects.

Trust in the Lord! He made you as you are and His power will overcome every impediment in your life!
