08/08/2025 – Your Honorable New Name
Scripture: Revelation 3: 12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.
Reflection: All of us have probably been called names. They were probably not good ones. What is worse- we have called other people bad names, highlighting a physical flaw. The name that defines you is the new name that God has given you.
The names of Adam and Eve are not used again in the Bible. God has granted us His own name. There are few things more honorable than the very name of God. He has lifted His name above all things. He demands respect for His holy name. And He has granted His name to us. In ancient times, the last name was related to the city where someone belonged. Our Lord was called Jesus of Nazareth. You have been granted the surname of belonging to the New Jerusalem.
Our God has removed our shame and has given His name to His children. The name of greatest honor has been given to you!
