08/06/2025 – There is no Condemnation for those who are in Christ

Eddy De La Hoz   -

Scripture: Revelation 12: 10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.

Reflection: Accusation is the job of the devil. His aim is to bind us in guilt and shame; but we are free of our sin, and we are relieved of all condemnation. We acknowledge our sin, restore what we can, and we trust God to cleanse us. We get back up and trust that the Lord has removed our shame. God provided a covering for Adam and Eve’s shame- a covering that required a sacrifice.

Judging the sin of others brings condemnation. The gospel of John relates the occasion in which a woman was caught in the act and brought to the Lord to be stoned. The Lord spoke in her defense and offered her forgiveness. He challenged the mob asking for that person who was without sin to throw the first stone.

We are not called to be accusers, much less to condemn. That is the role of the devil. There are times we must confront sin in others, but we must always do it in love for the purpose of restoring the person to a relationship with God.
