05/08/2025 – God will Conquer your Heart
Scripture: Zechariah 9: 9 “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, Lowly and riding on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.
Reflection: Oh, your king is coming to you! Prepare your heart. A royal visit is when the Lord manifests His majesty to the core of your being. (Not to an aspect of your life, such as your finances, your health, your relationships). Get ready to be amazed. He will bring salvation in a way that you do not expect, and He will do what you are not able to do. Our only hope is to receive Him as king. To submit to His authority, to proclaim His glory shouting: Hosannah! Save us now!!!
The city of Jerusalem represents the human heart. It is is the most contested place on earth. The city has been destroyed twice, besieged 23 times, attacked 52 times, and captured and recaptured 44 times. Your heart is the most contested part of your life, and many false kings are fighting for it. At the time of our Lord Jesus there were not one, but two kings who claimed to have authority over Jerusalem. King Herod, a puppet king established by the Roman empire. Cesar Augustus was the Roman emperor. This is the one of whom the chief priests proclaimed: “We have no king but Caesar” (John 19:15). You need to make a decision today as to who reigns in your heart! No one can force you to make this decision. They can take away many freedoms, but in your heart, no one else can tell you whom to love!
