04/18/2025 – God’s Power to Convince
Scripture: Romans 4: 20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. 22 And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.”.
Reflection: One of the most powerful skills is the ability to convince others. A person who is convinced will invest all effort and resources for the truth they believe. I must challenge you today. How convinced are you of the love of God, of the promises of God, of His purpose in your life? How convinced are you of His salvation?
This ability to convince can be dangerous when it is used for evil. The devil uses lies to deceive many. We can be easily convinced to believe and to do what is wrong. Most people are convinced that what they know is all there is to know, and what they see is all there is to see. They are convinced that they must invest in the vanity of this life because that is all there is.
But the power of our God to convince is greater than the power of the devil. We tend to give more credit to the devil in its evil diligence to deceive. Our God works harder and better at convincing us of the truth! God convinced Abraham that he would be father to a multitude when Abraham was almost one hundred years old. has given you a measure of faith and He is at work in your life to purify your faith and to convince you of His love.
