01/14/2026 – Good Conclusions Lead to Divine Renewal

Eddy De La Hoz   -

Hebrews 12: 1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Every new beginning starts with a godly conclusion. The first condition that must be met for renewal is the fulfilment of our current responsibilities. How often do we try to begin something new when we have not completed our obligations to God and to others.
One of the titles of Christ is “the Finisher of our faith”. He is not just the author of our faith, but the one who provides the faith we need to complete every good work. He warns us about leaving good works unfinished, like the man who started building a tower and was mocked: ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish’
The first great accomplishment of Christ is the conclusion of the Old Covenant. What the people of God could never complete, He completed! Our God leaves nothing without conclusion. He began the good work in you, and He will perfect it!
Christ’s purpose in this world was primarily the fulfilment of the Word of God. The Lord told John the Baptist: my baptism is necessary to fulfil all righteousness. The Lord received His name – Jesus, when he was circumcised in obedience to the word of God. He was anointed by the Spirit during His baptism. The most basic requirement for accomplishing God’s purpose is being where God commanded you to be at the appointed time and fulfilling what He has told you.
