John 6: 27 Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”

Your greatest need is oxygen. Your second greatest need is nourishment.
God provides food for every living being. From the beginning, He planted a garden for humans. To this day, the earth produces more than enough to satisfy every human being. But our physical hunger and thirst are indicators of our need for a much more important food…
Our Lord Jesus fasted in the wilderness forty days and forty nights. He demonstrated that people cannot live by physical bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.
Human behavior appears to me driven by an effort to provide for what is needed. Theoretically, the reason we work, and sacrifice lies in our need. God has given us the ability to experience hunger. It is a great motivator.
But our Lord Jesus commands us to work primarily for the food that endures to everlasting life. When we purchase food, it comes with an expiration date. But God has placed a different seal on the Son of Man. This is the seal of eternal life- the seal of the Holy Spirit. Our Lord Jesus is the bread of life! He invites you to eat from His table and live!
