06/13/2024 – Raised in Glory

Eddy De La Hoz   -

1 Corinthians 15: 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. 43 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

Christ said and demonstrated that He is always the same. After His resurrection, He appeared amid them and showed them that He was still with them, and He was still the same Jesus.

Even though they could see Him, they still did not believe it was Him. So strong is the effect of the reality of death in the human brain that people cannot conceive of life beyond it. They were terrified. They would rather believe they were seeing a ghost than in the fulfillment of the promise Christ had made to them three times. He repeatedly told them very clearly that He would rise on the third day.

Our Lord Jesus made it clear that He is Spirit AND He is human. He is forever God and Man. He is united to us and related to us for all eternity. He is like us, and we are like Him.

Christ united our human nature to His divine nature – two natures in one person. That union is forever. Christ did not discard His human nature after the cross. It was not a temporary covering for His divine nature while He fulfilled His ministry on earth. He wanted to be one with us forever.

In His glorified body, our Lord Jesus can interact with us, and can manifest in the material world the power of God. His resurrection guarantees that we will fully enjoy His presence for all eternity. There can be nothing better than that!
