01/26/2024 – You must prepare a place for Christ in your life.

Eddy De La Hoz   -

John 1: 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

One thing is certain in your life: Christ will come to you. One day every eye will see Him, every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that He is Lord. But you do not have to wait for that day. You can receive Him today by faith.

To properly receive Christ, you must be prepared. God provided ample notice so that the people prepared to receive Him. He did not just show up. His coming is the most prophesied in history. There should have been a place ready for Him because they knew He was coming. When you are not prepared, Christ may seem like an inconvenienceā€¦like there are more important things to do. Is that your situation today?

We must prepare a permanent place for Christ. There must be a place in our lives dedicated to Him. He came to dwell- not just to visit. The Shunammite woman in the Old Testament was not satisfied with the prophet Elisha coming by to dinner from time to time. She convinced her husband to build a room where He could stay. It was an upper room – where the breeze provided cooling and where it was quiet, away from the bustle of the kitchen. When the prophet came to stay, she received the miracle of a son, and when her son died, the prophet brought him back to life.

Unless you set aside a time, a space in your life, Christ will catch you unprepared, distracted, busy. But if you prepare a place, He will come to you to stay forever and to bring life.
