10/17/2023 – Discerning the Time
Luke 12: 54 And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.55 And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass.56 Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?
One of the first skills we learn is to tell time. But one of the last is to discern God’s time. God is right on time in your life. Be at peace…He has made everything beautiful in its time. When we try to slow it down or speed it up, we only get frustrated. We need to submit to God’s time, discern that He is sovereign, and his purposes are perfectly designed within his timeline for us. He is Lord over time! Time is in His hand!
Psalms 31: 15 My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, And from those who persecute me
When it is your time to overcome, no one will be able to defeat you! When it is your time of harvest, no one will be able to stop you! Wait for the Lord, trust in His times?
God has put eternity in your heart. You must learn to live not for the moment or for the years of your life expectancy on this earth. You must learn to live for eternity. Save for eternity. Serve God for eternity. Every moment counts forever. There will be eternal reward for your service and faithfulness. There will be eternal punishment for your rejection of the salvation Christ purchased for you with His blood!
