11/07/2023 -To Receive your Blessing, You Must Overcome your Obstacle

Eddy De La Hoz   -

Joshua 1: 9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” 10 So Joshua ordered the officers of the people: 11 “Go through the camp and tell the people, ‘Get your provisions ready. Three days from now you will cross the Jordan here to go in and take possession of the land the Lord your God is giving you for your own.’”

Before you even get to fight and obtain victory over your spiritual enemies, you need to overcome your obstacles. What is keeping you from a complete commitment to God? What gets in the way of your promised land? We must overcome many obstacles to get to the place of blessing. They are not meant to keep you from your blessing…God has chosen this way and these obstacles to show His power in your life, to be glorified in overcoming them. Do not be discouraged because you face obstacles in your path. This was God’s command to Joshua. Time and again God gave him this command: Be strong and courageous.

The obstacles increase in their level of difficulty the closer you get to the blessing. They had faced many struggles in the desert; but now that they were at the edge of the promised land, they had to cross a raging river. As difficulties increase, the power of God will be manifested with greater glory. The greater the trial, the greater the glory!

There was a river separating the people from the promised land. There was no bridge- no apparent way to cross. The river has overflowed its banks. But the greatest obstacle was not in the raging waters of an overflowing river. The greatest obstacle was the will of the people to cross into the promised land.

The people of God had no choice when they crossed the red sea. An army was coming at them to annihilate them. This was indeed a great miracle. But the crossing of the Jordan was no less of a miracle.
