10/07/2026 – What Causes People to Err?
Scripture: Matthew 22: 29 Jesus answered and said to them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God.
Reflection: Do you know the power of God? We have all seen and experienced manifestations of His power in nature and in our lives. Knowledge of the power of God is essential. One of the main reasons people deviate from the truth is that they do not know God’s power. They may know that God is powerful—everyone knows that—but they do not understand how God’s power works. If you want to overcome, remain on the path of salvation, and persevere, you need to know the power of God!
One of the most amazing qualities of the power of God is that He accomplishes His greatest works, His greatest victories by empowering the weak. God does not choose the strong to win His battles. That would encourage pride in those who trust in their own strength. His power is perfected in weakness. You know this because you have experienced it. When you were at your weakest, when you came to realize that you are powerless against sin, sickness, your enemies, the power of God gave you strength!
