06/08/2026 – More Than Conquerors
Scripture: Romans 8: 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
Reflection: One of our greatest emotional and spiritual needs is the need for comfort. We face so many risks and fears, struggles and frustrations in this world that even if we are not physically affected, our souls are often restless. We seek comfort for the soul in material things; but true comfort only exists in the word of God.
What comfort do you find in the word of God? It is more than words to make you feel better or encouragement to accept the sorrows of life. What the word of God offers you in your struggles is a declaration of victory!
God wants you to trust not only that He is with you through the tribulation, not just that He will offer consolation in your time of anguish; but that He will, in all your battles, give you victory. And the way He will do it is even more wonderful because you are not just a recipient of victory, you are a participant. God has promised to make you into a conqueror through Christ.
