12/19/2025 – Keeping the Good Things God has Given You
Scripture: 2 Timothy 1: 14 That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.
Reflection: Your greatest responsibility in this life is to care for and to guard God’s treasure that He has committed to you.
If you believe in Christ, God has deposited His treasure in you. His most precious possessions, He has given to you. In your human nature you are an earthen vessel. There is little value to you. You may have no earthly possessions of value. You may be destitute. But in your inner being, the greatest treasures of heaven have been given to you!
Sometimes earthly blessings can seem as good or better than Godly blessings. One of the clearest distinctions between them is the permanent value of spiritual blessings. God’s blessings are permanently and eternally precious. His promises NEVER lose value. When they seem possible or when they seem impossible, they retain their worth. God’s love never diminishes one ounce. His power in you never falters. When God gives you something, His will is that you will be blessed forever.
God has given you good things, good people. He has committed His treasures to you. Take good care of them.
