12/18/2025 – God’s Good Treasure for You
Scripture: Deuteronomy 28: 12 The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.
Reflection: How much do you appreciate God and God’s blessings? Everything God has made is precious and has value beyond human measure. But there are blessings so precious that God has made them part of His treasure. God promised His people, when they obeyed His commands, to open for them His good treasure.
When God opens His good treasure to His people, He sends rain. Rain? God doesn’t send what we consider a treasure- money or jewels. Rain is seldom welcome. Only in a drought people rejoice over it. It does not offer immediate relief for our needs; but it starts a cycle that with our hard work will yield a harvest. Goodness will fill the land when we recognize the goodness of God in the rain, when we are willing to plant the good seed knowing that God will send the rain and use it to produce a harvest in our lives.
