10/23/2024 – Increasing our Capacity to Receive the Fullness of God’s Blessing

Eddy De La Hoz   -

1 Peter 2: 1 Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.

we can only achieve the fullness of God through spiritual growth. God’s blessings are so immense, that there is a disproportion between God’s power to give and our ability to receive. The limitation is not with God- it is with us. God is able, God is willing to give us everything we need for fullness of victory, total accomplishment, fullness of life.

God’s goal for us is fullness of blessing- nothing less. This requires from us growth. The biggest limitation to the blessing of God in our lives is not the amount or the size of the blessing- it is our capacity to receive it. We are limited by the capacity of our mind to understand the revelation of God. You may have read this verse before. God asked His people to increase their capacity so they could be fully blessed:

Isaiah 54: 2 “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.

No church building is big enough for all the people God has already chosen for salvation in your community. Our faith needs to be big enough. Our love for the lost needs to grow. Our passion and commitment must grow.

Faith amplifies our ability to receive the blessings of God. Jesus always required faith before He would provide blessings with power beyond human ability. Before you can receive it, you must believe it. Faith amplifies your understanding, your hope, your eagerness to achieve what God has prepared for you. Faith led four men to dismantle a roof, made a man climb a tree. Faith leads us to the place where our blessing can be received.

And how do we get faith? How do we grow in faith? By the word of God. The only way our capacity is increased is spiritual growth.
