09/06/2024 – The Ministry of Restoration
Galatians 6: 1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. 2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
The ministry of restoration is an essential and never-ending ministry because the devil’s job is to steal and destroy. But although God may allow the enemy to attack, God is always willing and able to restore! When the enemy attacks and lives are damaged, we must act to restore them. The longer we wait, the more difficult it becomes to heal and restore. Visible, unrepaired damage leads to general spiritual inertia. Restoration requires power. A messy home will remain messy until someone cleans it and keeps it clean. There is power to restore! In God!
Take exceptional care not to be a stumbling block to anyone. The more humble and needy your brother, the more careful you must be not to make him stumble. But not doing wrong is not enough. We must also do what we can to provide for the spiritual and material needs of our brethren. The more blessed we are spiritually, the more we can bless others, and the better we can help them bear their burdens. This is how we can fulfil the law of Christ.
