03/06/2024 – Build on God’s Foundation
1 Corinthians 3: 12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. 14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.
God calls us to build on the foundation who is Christ. He has provided the place, the strongest foundation, and the best materials so that we can build our lives, our families, our ministry. We must build in a way that is precious and fireproof!
This is a command to live in the reality our God has determined for us. A building is a permanent structure. One of the fundamental requirements for a person is to get established in the place God has chosen. We cannot wait for our ideal situation. We will move around forever seeking it. You must get established where God has established you.
Your work will be tested by fire. Has it been tested yet? God is not promising ideal conditions. He is telling us that the fiercest attacks will come against us to destroy what we are building in this life. Sometimes we look around and decide that conditions are not suitable for building on the foundation who is Christ. We decided to wait for better times, more resources. We decided to wait until we felt we were ready- wait for the storm to pass. God says to His remnant: do not wait for the storm to pass! The storm is going to rage on for a long time! You must build through the storm! Build in today’s Babylon! Raise the ramparts against the enemy!
