02/29/2024 – The Power of Godly Thinking
1 Corinthians 2: 9 That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”
God’s Mercy is More Powerful than Hard Work and Positive Thinking. The call of God is amazing and it makes our lives more wonderful than we could have ever imagined. One of the arguments regarding Christianity is the “wishful thinking” argument. Many people accuse Christians of hanging on to false hope based on what they would like. They think that when we talk about heaven…we are naively creating a fantasy world based on our fear of death and our wish for the idea of eternal life. Some think that God Himself is only a desire of our minds given the harsh reality of the world in which we live. But the God revealed in the Bible that we could have never imagined what God has prepared for us.
Our God is not the result of wishful thinking or positive thinking. As positive as our thinking is always stained by sin. Our God is real…We could never imagine His mercy and grace, His righteous anger, His amazing power. This is why our idols are so ugly…
While everything you do will affect your life, the overpowering factor in your purpose and your destiny is the call of God in your life. The greatest influence on your future, your circumstances and those around you is the call of God in your life.
