02/13/2024 – The Power of God’s Call on your Life
Jeremiah 1: 4 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: 5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; ordained you a prophet to the nations.” 6 Then said I: “Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.” 7 But the Lord said to me: “Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, and whatever I command you, you shall speak.
The word of God works in our lives first through a call. God makes His word available to everyone. His call has gone out to all the earth (Romans 10:18). There is a general call. It is an invitation that appeals to the multitude. We hear the Lord raising His voice in John 7: 37 saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.
But there is an individual invitation, a personal call. It is specific, and it is the only way we can come to Christ and receive salvation…
1 Peter 2: 9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
It is God who chooses and God who calls those who are in darkness… we would not choose God while in darkness, but the word of God came to us!
God’s favorite way to bless His people is through a person. The blessing of deliverance, revelation and prosperity always come from God through individuals He chooses and equips to be a blessing to the people of God. You are God’s favorite instrument of worship, revelation, blessing! This is why God called you- to be blessed and to be a blessing to others.
