01/22/2024 – It is time to grow.
Hebrews 5: 12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. 13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. 14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
There are physical milestones in life that we are expected to complete. By 18 months, a child should be walking. At first you crawled, then you pulled yourself up one day and took your first step. God gives each child the power and ability as well as the desire to walk. Spiritually, there is also a process of growth. There are spiritual milestones that God expects you will reach. There is a time to crave and feed on milk…but the time must come when we become mature spiritually and can discern good and evil!
We must be prepared to teach our children, our neighbors and coworkers who know nothing of the love and power of God.
As you walk on the road of salvation, you must grow in the knowledge of Christ. There is much about tomorrow we do not know…but what has been revealed, we must know!
A completed season gives way to a new one. Christ first fulfilled all the law before bringing us into a new covenant. For many, every year will be more of the same. But for those who are in Christ, there will be new blessings, new challenges…
Every completed action of love leads to renewal of the love God has poured into your heart. Every completed work of faith leads to growth and multiplication of your faith.
Every purpose of God in your life must be fulfilled. Every season has a purpose, and it must be completed. Are there processes that are incomplete in your life? Will this be the year you begin to complete them?
