12/07/203 – God will Multiply
John 6: 8 Another of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, spoke up, 9 “Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?”10 Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” There was plenty of grass in that place, and they sat down (about five thousand men were there). 11 Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish.12 When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.” 13 So they gathered them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten.14 After the people saw the sign Jesus performed, they began to say, “Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world.” 15 Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself.
God’s provision is amazing in every way; but one of the most amazing qualities of God’s provision is the completeness of it. He has promised to supply ALL our needs! One of the reasons the Lord took upon Himself our human nature and came to this world is to supply ALL our needs. Only in Christ all our needs will be supplied. Every spiritual, emotional, and physical need. No one can achieve this assurance and fullness without Christ.
The Lord has promised to supply all our needs in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). And He has demonstrated His power to supply all our needs regardless of how great the need and how little the resources.
He also demonstrated the process by which He chooses to achieve this full provision. It is the process of multiplication. The Lord could have created enough food for everyone with the power of His word; but He chose to teach us important principles of the kingdom of God.
First, we need to know that we are already blessed, and that blessing must be multiplied. God has already created and given everything required for victory and blessing. It is already ours.
God has provided all the persons that He will use to fulfill all His promises to His people. Right now, in the church of Christ, He has called and equipped all the people that are required for the establishment of His kingdom on earth. And He has placed all the people in your life, good and bad, that are required for the fulfilment of ALL your needs and His purpose in your life. Often, we fail to trust and act because we consider ourselves and the people around us lacking the power and resources given such great need. But the Lord wants to remind us today that the least among us is capable and more likely to bless all of us.
