Eddy De La Hoz   -

Leviticus 16: 12 He is to take a censer full of burning coals from the altar before the Lord and two handfuls of finely ground fragrant incense and take them behind the curtain. 13 He is to put the incense on the fire before the Lord, and the smoke of the incense will conceal the atonement cover above the tablets of the covenant law, so that he will not die.

The second altar in the Tabernacle is found in the holy place. It is the altar of incense, representing prayer. After. On this altar, the priest would offer incense, symbolic of the prayers of the people of God. Our prayers will rise into the presence of God to the extent that they are mixed with the prayers of intercession of our Lord Jesus. receiving the sacrifice of Christ, the priest does not walk away. The cross is not the end, but the beginning. The priest is to take burning coals from the altar of sacrifice and bring them into the holy place.

The purpose of God in salvation does not stop with the forgiveness of your sin. Forgiveness is not the end, but the beginning of the process of sanctification. He saved you to make you holy! To make us like His Son, pure in deeds and thought, pure in heart!

The altar of prayer is in the holy place. Anyone can pray anywhere; but effective prayer, victorious prayer, heart changing prayer, world overcoming prayer, is offered in the holy place, with the burning coals of the altar. It goes up to the presence of God like this incense. Let your prayer rise every day to the throne of God.
