Matthew 9: 37  Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.

The Holy Spirit changes us from shoppers into laborers. In order to produce, we need a harvest mentality. There are shoppers and there are laborers of the vineyard. Shoppers are selfish…do you agree? They even fight for the item they want for themselves. Laborers of the vineyard are generous at harvest time. We go apple picking every year. All Christians should do that. I was offered so many apples, I had to turn them down. Do you want another apple? Why? Because there were so many. When we realize that our blessings are not sporadic or individual Laborers are participants in their own blessing. They are not passive, demanding recipients. They work at their own salvation with fear and trembling. Sanctification does not happen without your participation. You need to participate. Laborers plant and work for the blessings of others too.

Shoppers are cheap. They want to pay as little as possible and still get the best quality. Laborers are willing to invest it all to produce the best quality harvest.

Shoppers just want to enjoy an apple. But I can tell you no one enjoys an apple more than those who planted them and took care of the vineyard, and those who get to see others enjoy them also.
