03/15/2022 – Bumble Bee

James Vazquez   -

Engineers in the field of aircraft design, attempting to improve aircraft efficiency, where studying the aerodynamics of bumble bees in a wind tunnel. What the engineers found was, based on the bumble bee’s odd shape, the bee’s size, it’s weight in relation to their wing surface area, the bumble bee shouldn’t be able to fly. Meaning that the bumble bee goes against all aerodynamic principals that allows for flight. However, it seems that no one has yet to informed the bumble bees of these findings, thus every spring and summer bumble bees everywhere continue to fly from flower to flower performing their pollination duties. I would imagine the bumble bee would not care if it was told “You shouldn’t be able to fly!”, the bee would just continue to fly against all the principals of flight.

Numbers 13 30:31

30 Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.”

31 But the men who had gone up with him said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.”

Just like the expert engineers that said, “bumble bees shouldn’t be able to fly”, ten of the twelves spies collectively announce, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.” The ten spies provided Moses and the assembly, a bad report on their 40-day reconnaissance mission of the promise land. Only Joshua and Caleb held their faith in God’s promise, the promise that the land that flowed with milk and honey was theirs for the taking.  Regardless of the 10 spies’ comments, their popular opinion, regardless of the giants occupying the land of Canaan, Joshua and Caleb were anchored in God’s promise. You maybe experiencing this in your life right now, voices and influences around you, tell you “You’re not supposed to fly, they’re stronger than me, they’re giants compared to me” always giving you a bad report. But today anchor your faith on God’s promises, be like a bumble bee and fly.

Today meditate on this verse: Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me
